Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, the latest champion of dressing with freedom and style, was on hand at the Madrid runway event.
Adlib Moda Ibiza’s 2018 crop of bridal, haute couture and prêt-à-porter collections came to life this evening in a runway show organised by the Eivissa Council at Madrid’s Momad Metrópolis catwalk. The show’s seven Adlib designers were joined by guests like Arancha de Benito and actress Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, last year’s guest of honour. In the open air of the Summer Terrace, the designers showed works embodying the colour white, craftsmanship, passion for the Earth and for breaking new ground: aspects of a style that, at 46, is looking younger than ever.
It is the second time this year that Ibiza puts in an appearance at Spain’s top fashion trade show. From their stand—number 12D32—in pavilion 12, firms like Tony Bonet, Nanou Couture, Ibimoda, Ichiana Ibiza, Vintage Ibiza, K de Kose Kose Privée and Virginia Vald spotlight their newest Ibiza-made creations.
Moda Adlib Ibiza’s 2018 sponsors include Hierbas Marí Mayans family liqueur distilling and Hierbas de Ibiza perfume.
Marta Díaz Pascual, Eivissa Council’s deputy vice-president and secretary of interior, trade, industry and administrative relations, sat on the event’s inaugural committee with Madrid’s director of trade and enterprise, Concepción Díaz de Villegas, and the president and director of IFEMA, Clemente González and Jaime de la Figuera. Momad Madrid’s organisers say they are confident this year’s attendance will top fourteen thousand, the number of visits logged in 2017. Trade shows like this one allow our artists the chance to pitch their one of a kind, locally-crafted pieces as exclusive designs to sellers all over the world.
Following Momad Metrópolis, Adlib Moda Ibiza will be at Who’s Next Paris, 8-11 September.
